Dolphin Coast Security Services

Local monitoring of alarms and local control centre

During the month of June 2007 La Mercy was in dire need of a security company to take over from where TES security left off. As a resident of the area and also as a serving member of SAPS Flying Squad Durban, I decided to get actively involved. I decided then that I would approach the civic association and inform them that I was prepared to take on security responsibility.

At the same time I also approached Sooraj Maharaj of SASS Stanger to do the monitoring of alarms as I was prepared to conduct the response services from La Mercy.

However, over the last 7 months I have come to the conclusion that I would set up my own control centre in La Mercy. Negotiations are underway with Daryll of ADI Honeywell International for the purchase of my own radio equipment and base station for La Mercy.

There will be no cost to the existing radio monitored clientele. The change of radios will take approximately 15 minutes and will cause very little hindrance to the clients.

The main reason for the local station is that due to the present monitoring company's lack of professionalism we have received a few negative comments from our clients.

There have been occasions where SASS Stanger have dismissed staff for sleeping on duty and such unprofessionalism will will not be tolerated.

SASS Stanger will attempt to acquire the current client base however Dolphin Coast Security Services (our company name) have dispatched reps to all the clientele to inform them of our intentions.

Please help us in any manner possible to achieve our goal.

Yours sincerely

Sandheel Maharaj
